To those that know me, it comes as no surprise that I love music, especially live music. My husband and I met and re-met at concerts, some of our first dates were concerts and we were married at a concert. Both of our boys attended their first concerts when we measured their ages in weeks, not months or years. It is slightly harder to attend concerts now that we have kids as babysitters can get expensive. The best compromise is finding musical events that the kids can attend with us.
Luckily for us, the Quad Cities is full of opportunities for kid friendly concerts, especially in the summer. Here are just a few:

I’m a huge fan of outdoor concerts as it allows kids room to run around and they don’t have to be absolutely quiet. To protect little ears, I always pack these earmuffs for my boys to wear if things get too loud. If you want to get some ideas of some music to listen to with your kids, check out my post about kids music that doesn’t suck. Where is your favorite place to see live music with your kids?
