We are so excited for our first-ever Crafternoon for Moms.

We believe moms need creativity in their lives. And that’s why we are so excited for this fun afternoon of mini workshops, creative activities and inspiration to build a creative life in your motherhood.

Just in case you have a few questions, here are more details!

Where is it?

We are so excited to be hosted by our friends at Camp Liberty Girl Scout Camp in New Liberty, Iowa (between Walcott and Eldridge).

It’s the perfect location to hone your creativity – from the autumn colors in the trees to the wide open spaces. And the new lodge is an absolutely stunning location to be inspired. It’s going to be a memorable day!

What will the event be like?

This event is a full afternoon designed to help you foster your own creativity – as well as relax, have fun, and meet other moms.

There will be so much to do, see, eat and make. And you’ll have a chance to connect with other moms along the way.

What will the workshops be like?

Each of three workshops will include all the supplies and expert instructions you’ll need to succeed and try your hand at a new skill:

Fall Floral Arrangement Decor Box Workshop with K’nees Florist (make a floral arrangement to take home)

Sign Making Workshop with Jill and Bean (make a custom sign to take home – you’ll choose from these three designs)

Doodles and Chalkboard Art Workshop with Becca of Who Arted? (create a custom chalkboard to take home)

What else where there be to do besides workshops?

When you first arrive, there will be an opportunity to grab a treat from Country Style. As you mingle and meet other moms, you’ll also have the opportunity to check out awesome mini make-and-take crafts as well as check out demos from local makers.

That includes:

And after workshops, we’ll end the day with dinner and our keynote speaker, Becca of Who Arted?, who will encourage and give you practical tips to find creativity in motherhood.

There will be food?

Yes! There will be treats and snacks when you arrive as well as dinner before you leave. You’ll enjoy a hearty meal of soups, salads and breadsticks. And don’t forget ice cream sundaes for dessert. (Thanks, Country Style.)

Can I come alone?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

While you are more than welcome to come with a friend or a group, you are also more than welcome to come alone. There will be lots of opportunities to connect with other moms and meet new friends. And because it’s a fairly structured event, you will never feel left out. You’ll be making beautiful crafts AND mom friends at the same time.

We hope this event will be an opportunity to connect with other moms in a welcoming environment. And we hope you will leave feeling inspired, encouraged and excited to continue developing friendships with the women you met.

Can I buy a ticket that day?

You can not buy a ticket to the Crafternoon event at the door.  Tickets must be purchased from Eventbrite BEFORE the event. And because crafts must be prepared, ticket sales will end a few days in advance.

Moral of the story: Grab your ticket sooner rather than later.

What does my ticket include?

This afternoon has plenty of bang for you buck. In addition to a fun afternoon you’ll have with other moms, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in three craft workshops – including taking home what you make and, in some cases, a few supplies to try it again.

Your ticket also includes treats and drinks, dinner and a keynote speaker.

Plus, the first 100 moms to register will receive an exclusive Crafternoon tote bag. Perfect for hauling all those crafty supplies home.

What will people be wearing?

You will be crafting, so you’ll want to wear something comfortable. We also recommend layers and shoes you can walk in – since you’ll be walking (short distances) between workshops. We will do our best to keep you from getting messy, but wearing something that isn’t precious is probably a good idea. Whatever you feel comfortable in is a great bet.

Can I still sign up?

Yes! Registration will close the morning of September 18, or when all tickets are claimed.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. If you’ve purchased a ticket from Eventbrite, your name will be on the list at the welcome table.
