The weather is starting to get nicer… is winter finally over? We hope so! With nicer weather that means it’s time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful trails that the Quad Cities has to offer!
This year is the 6th annual GOAT event in the Quad Cities. GOAT, or ‘Get Out And Trail’, is a free event for the whole family sponsored by the Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline Parks and Recreation Departments.
Explore the trails on both sides of the Mississippi and visit hosted GOAT stops for refreshments and activities. There is no starting or stopping point and you can ride, walk, or run as far as you want!
Get out and visit some new trails or revisit some of your favorites. Bring out the whole family and don’t leave your dog at home… this is a pet friendly event! Your dog will also enjoy being out on the trails after this long winter!
There are so many ways to enjoy the trails. Don’t have a bike? Go for a run. Not a fan of running? Take a leisurely walk. Plus the whole family can join in, put the kids in the stroller and they can roll along! It does not matter how you get around, Bike, Hike, Run, Walk, Roll – Just Get Out And Trail (GOAT)!
GOAT is on Mother’s Day weekend. Bring Mom and the whole family out to celebrate on the trails with the Parks and Recreation Departments of the Quad Cities.
The hosted GOAT stops will all have raffle prizes that you can win. You are not going to want to miss out on these! Register online to receive event updates and to enter for a chance to receive raffle prizes. Then stop by the GOAT stops and enter again for more chances to win.
